Site: 40' x 60'
Location: Bangalore
Being a 30’x40’ site, space utilisation and arrangement of functions across the levels were of utmost importance. In spite of a small site, there was a lot of emphasis on the green spaces inside the building. There was also a lot of visual connectivity provided across the floors which make the spaces look bigger.
The internal spaces were inspired from the traditional Indian architecture. The external façade was designed in a modern style but with earthy materials and rustic elements.
There was no rule followed as far as the designed language or the material and the colour palette were concerned. There was an amalgamation of Indian architecture and modern style. In fact the interior spaces were treated in a maximalist manner. Everything was allowed to spill into one another.
